Rural Policeman Responsibility

One of the responsibilities of the Union Parishad is to ensure the security of the rural people and their goods. In order to perform this duties, each Union Parishad has appointed Mahalladas and Dafadars. The work of the mahalladas and dafadars is to be arranged in villages and mahallas of the union and help the police to stop crime. If there is a situation arising out of suspicion that a person may be disrupted peace in the union or for any reason, then he will inform the OC the mahalladas and dafdars of the thana and report it to him at least once in 15 days. If there is any danger of any kind of epidemic of the union or any damage to any irrigation or irrigation project or if any property of the Union Parishad is misused, then the Union Parishad will have to tell it immediately. Besides, if the rail line, telephone or telegram or electric line, tube well and other government property is damaged, then the public or the Mahalladas and Daphdar Union Parishad will be informed. Accordingly, the Union Parishad will inform the concerned authorities. In some cases, the Mohalladas and Dafadars may arrest the magistrate without the injunction and warrant, such as, if a court commits an offense, or someone has a sedan or stolen goods or someone escaped from custody and hijacked the village.
